Dunn's Bakery is family operated for 5 generations. It first opening in 1892 in Oneida as Seitz Bakery and moved to Canastota in 1966.
The secret to incredibly fresh donuts isn't in the recipe, it's in the baker Tom Dunn. "We've had others try to make the same donuts with the same recipe, but they don't taste the same," explained Karen Dunn Seelman.
ABOUT THEODORE'S RESTAURANT:
For nearly ten years, Ted Field and his wife, Polli Adler Field, ran Delphia's restaurant in Chittenango.
Before that, Ted Field worked as a chef at the well - known Kopp's Canteen in Chittenango, where the specialty was a popular chicken fricassee dish.
The couple then purchased the former Rusty Rail restaurant at 3231 Seneca Turnpike in Canastota. They renovated the building and named it Theodore's Restaurant, after Ted Field.
